Interior Castle, Philothea, Sanctified Souls, St. Bridget Prayers, Suscipe, The Little Way, and Via Virtutum are devotional apps created with reverence for their users and their spiritual lives. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.

Information We Collect

Our apps collect minimal information necessary to provide you with the app experience:

Journal entries, prayer notes, Examen reflections, reflection journal entries, retreat day reflections, colloquy entries, Spiritual Bouquet entries, bookmark notes, and personal reflections are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to anything you write.

Prayer tracker data, devotion selections, reading preferences, three intentions, novena progress, weekly virtue walk progress, daily devotion tracking, Spiritual Exercises retreat day completions, Interior Castle Seven Mansions retreat progress, Salesian thirty-day retreat progress (and its 40-day Lenten and four-week Advent variants), retreat completion history, annual renewal feast preference (Saint Francis de Sales, Ash Wednesday, First Sunday of Advent, or All Saints), Liturgical Light appearance preference, Annecy Dawn / Vespers Bleu palette preference, language hierarchy preference, surface theme preference, silent-practice timer duration, tab bar visibility preference, and appearance preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

If you make a purchase or subscribe through the App Store, Apple handles all payment processing. We do not collect or store any payment information.

If you contact us through the app, we receive only the information you choose to provide (your message and email, if given).

We do not collect browsing data, location data, or personal identifiers.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not track your location.

We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics that identify you personally.

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to anyone.

Local Data Storage

Your journal entries, prayer notes, tracker progress, reading preferences, liturgical rite selection, three intentions, novena bouquets, reflection journal entries, weekly virtue walk progress, daily devotion reminder settings, appearance preference, Spiritual Exercises retreat day completions, Interior Castle Seven Mansions retreat progress, Salesian thirty-day retreat progress (and its Lent/Advent variants), annual renewal feast selection, Examen reflections, prayer reflection entries, retreat day reflections, colloquy entries, Spiritual Bouquet entries, bookmark notes, language hierarchy preference (Spanish or English first; English or French first in Philothea), parchment/twilight surface theme, Annecy Dawn / Vespers Bleu palette preference, silent-practice timer duration, Suscipe Liturgical Light theme selection, tab bar visibility preference, and personal calendar events are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not transmitted to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device.

Calendar Access

If you choose to add feast days to your device calendar, we request access to your calendar solely for this purpose. We do not read, store, or transmit any existing calendar events. (Sanctified Souls only.)

Photo Library Access

If you choose to save a saint wallpaper image, we request access to your photo library solely to save the image. We do not access or read any existing photos. (Sanctified Souls only.)

Notifications

If you enable prayer reminders, feast day notifications, daily devotion reminders, retreat day reminders, Morning Preparation reminders, Midday Pause aspiration reminders, Evening Examination reminders, weekly Letter of the Week notifications, or Morning Prayer / Evening Examen reminders, these are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push notification servers or track notification interactions.

Sharing

If you choose to share a Letter of the Week from Philothea, sharing is handled entirely by the iOS system share sheet. The app does not see or store who you share with, what app you share through, or whether sharing completes. (Philothea only.)

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Our apps offer in-app purchases and subscriptions to unlock premium features. These are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Interior Castle, Philothea, Suscipe, and Via Virtutum offer auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or yearly). You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.

External Links

The Shop section of Sanctified Souls links to sanctifiedsouls.com for merchandise purchases. These purchases occur outside of the app and are subject to the privacy policy of that website. The app does not process any external purchases.

Children's Privacy

The Little Way is designed for children and families. All of our apps are designed as devotional tools suitable for all ages. Our apps do not collect, transmit, or store personal information on any server. All data remains on the user's device.
